Mexicans love to party – no other country has as many ferias – festivals as Mexico - so at ''Pepe El Toro'' we try to recreate the fun-loving party side to Mexico by providing our ''Tacos al Pastor'' with its original Mexican flavor.
Our name, is a dedication to a singer and actor of the Mexican golden age of our national cinema of the 1950's. His name was Pedro Infante ''Pepe El Toro''.

Currently we are working in partnership with the long experience and well know chef, here in Melbourne, Paul Le Noury ( www.paullenoury.com.au ).

The project is a new restaurant, 'Fish & Fish'. Paul's speciality an passion for fish enjoyed only by people that could afford his private services now will take place here in 'Fish & Fish' for the first time open to the public. 'Al pastor' = "Shepherd style"

'Al pastor' = "Shepherd style" recipe. Is a dish developed in México, likely as a result of the adoption of the Shawarma spit-grilled meat brought by Lebanese immigrants to Mexico. Having derived from the Shawarma, it is also similar to the Turkish döner kebap and the Greek gyros which is also based on the döner. Whereas those dishes are usually lamb-based (thus the "shepherd style" name), tacos al pastor in Mexico are usually made from pork.

Kromě ostřílených maso s cibulí a ananasem, a tradiční s achiote koření, mleté koření a červených chilli.
